Corporate Engagement Opportunities

By partnering with St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters, your company team can directly make an impact in the lives of people who experience food insecurity. There are a variety of ways employers and employees can make a difference in the underserved community. Consider one of our opportunities below.

Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich Making Day

The PB&J Sandwich Making Day program is a great way for employees to volunteer. We have hosted this program with companies such as Polo Ralph Lauren, JPMorgan Chase, Microsoft, Macy’s and more.

We provide the necessary supplies such as bread, peanut butter and jelly, food handling and sanitary tools.  We can hold the program at one of our sites. The company only needs to provide the volunteers but is welcome to have the program at their location.

The program requires a minimum of 10 volunteers which we estimate can make 300 sandwiches per hour. We charge the company $1.75 per sandwich and ask that the cost be paid in advance to cover the cost of all the supplies that go into the program.

Sandwiches made by the volunteers are immediately delivered to our partner agencies.

Employee Collection Drives and Amazon Wishlists

Take your in-kind donations to the next level. St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters provides support in many ways and can always use more in-kind donations. Consider having your company host one of the following drives or at their location(s) or support its corresponding Amazon Wishlist:

  • Non-Perishable Food
  • Baby Care Supplies
  • Women’s Hygiene Items
  • Children’s Toys
  • Clothing
  • Winter Coats and Clothing

Have another idea of how you’d like to support? Or does your company have a specific initiative that they’d like to partner with us? Please reach out to us! We can learn more about what you’d like to do and assess how it would best fit with our community partners.
