Community Programs - Winter Coat Drive Distribution

By the time St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters' Annual Winter Coat Drive came to an end, over 3,000 coats, sweaters, scarves, hats and gloves were distributed within our network. The success of the drive was due largely in part to Kaufman Realty Management for allowing us to place collection boxes in lobbies at over a dozen of their buildings, and to the efforts of Mary Anne Fusco's annual Coat Drive. Several clothing manufacturers and distributors, including Ross Stores, saw the NY1 "New Yorker of the Week" segment featuring Mary Anne and also generously contributed to the Coat Drive. Boxes of coats and winter wear were delivered weekly to many of the Food Pantries, Soup Kitchens and Shelters we help support. Our clients were very grateful for the warm coats given to them. We thank everyone who contributed to our efforts that kept so many needy New Yorkers warm this winter.
