On Saturday, February 25th 2017 we hosted our Annual "Thanksgiving in February" meal in the church hall at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Manhattan, NY.

Our invited guests were over 400 local food pantry clients (including adults, children and seniors) in need of a helping hand. Upon arrival, these clients received a Thanksgiving-style meal, provided by "A World of Food" and served by employees from Macy's and Con Edison.

Entertainment included a magician, balloon sculptors, face painting and the fellowship of new and familiar friends. Before leaving, guests received a sweet treat of jordan almonds graciously donated by G. Scaccione!

It is a great feeling to be able to carry on the goodwill of the "season of giving" long after the holidays have come and gone. Thank you to all who contributed especially Kimberly Nicolich of Macy's and Alexandra Larschan and Ulysses Ifill of Con Edison who rallied their respective volunteers. They helped the event be a huge success and memorable for these grateful families!

Our wonderful, cheerful volunteers set the tone for a great afternoon. The guys from Con Ed work the food line in style.

Thankful for family and friends, and a wonderful meal. Smiling faces...and full bellies.
