Our Theatre Benefit Committee presented our Annual "Pasta Party" for some of the clients of St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters. Macy's was the Food Sponsor for the event. Cheerful volunteers from Con Edison helped serve a delicious Italian meal to over 500 clients from one of our Food Pantries. The Ballroom of the Affinia Manhattan Hotel was transformed into a "slice of Italy" for the event with colorful decorations, and Chef Dale Spinks from Niles Restaurant and his staff prepared the food. Spaghetti and meatballs, Chicken Parmesan, salad and cheesecake were on the menu, and beautiful Italian music filled the air. Volunteers also showed off their talents by making balloon sculptures and offering face painting for the children. Guests enjoyed this internationally flavored luncheon and received special treats when they left. St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters take pride in changing a simple meal for the needy into a memorable event for everyone in attendance. We thank Macy's for their very generous support to help feed the less fortunate.
